Your options and career development
Global Private Banking
HSBC Private Bank provides personalised private banking services to high net-worth individuals and their families. The team works in over 90 locations across nearly 40 countries and territories worldwide. This is a specialised and rapidly growing business delivering a refined one-to-one service and bespoke solutions essential to a certain level of wealth.
Trusted advisers
This business area works on a one-to-one basis with sophisticated, wealthy clients – people with in excess of USD2 million of net investable wealth. Acting as trusted advisers, our Relationship Managers work closely and methodically with each client, painting a detailed picture of their circumstances and identifying their long-term wealth needs and goals.
Taking this knowledge, they engage highly skilled teams throughout HSBC to develop comprehensive solutions that manage the client's wealth today and for future generations.
Long-term focus
This is intellectually stimulating work with interesting, internationally positioned clients and prospects. The challenges are long term and often intergenerational which raises absorbing questions and sensitive issues. It calls for mature, polished, diplomatic people who can open doors to an abundance of appropriate financial expertise.
International coverage
Global Private Banking is growing in its key markets, particularly Asia, where we are already very strong. However, we are a truly global business with one of the largest trust businesses and an international network of investment services spanning six continents and all major markets. This breadth and depth of coverage allows us to formulate a highly developed response to any brief.
Connecting people
Join this programme and the international outlook will strike you immediately. You will work closely with colleagues in HSBC Private Bank and other parts of HSBC all over the world. You will also be a member of a very successful part of HSBC. “The opportunity to live in three different cultures and experience three different business areas right from the off has been excellent. Not only has it made me aware of what I want to do long-term, it’s giving me the chance to see how the Bank operates from every angle. Most people only experience this when they reach senior management.” Tainah Mendes, Global Private Bank, Singapore
